It was early morning, 4 am to be exact.  It was black Friday and man do I hate waking up early.  Yes I woke up at 3:30 am on black Friday in 2006 to head on down to Circuit City to pick up my Xbox 360.  The deal they had was buy a 360 get any game of your choice free.  So naturally I picked Gears of War because I remember reading that the press were giving it some high praise.  And boy was that a great decision.

I played Gears of War multiplayer all the way until the launch of Halo 3.  Despite the issues in the multiplayer I still found the gameplay to be totally refreshing and awesome.  And damn did it look good.  My eyes were bulging out of my head when I played through the single player.  Until now I think Gears of War had the best graphics on a console.

Now here we are Gears of War 2 and from the videos we have seen before launch some of the graphics may have looked the same.  This is fine since the first looked so damn good.  However the question is has Epic created a game so epic (no pun intended) that it is better than the first?  The answer is SHIT YEAH!. (O man am I going to get crap for saying that)

When I bought my PS3 there were 2 games I brought home: Devil May Cry 4 and Resistance: Fall of Man.  I was totally surprised to find out that Resistance: FOM was a good game.  In fact it was great game.  Although I did play it after I had played COD4 and well you just have to look past the graphics.  I found it to be a really good shooter and was extremely fun.  Not only was it fun it had a very good story and I was totally engaged.

Ever since they announced the sequel I have been so psyched to play it.  And now that I have played it I can say I am VERY disappointed in the outcome(single player).

Recently I have been playing Dead Space, ironically finishing it on Halloween. And it is safe to say that this is most definitely a contender for sleeper hit of the year.

Just to give you some background, Dead Space is a survival horror game developed by EA. You play an engineer named Isaac Clarke who is responding to call from the USG Ishimura (a Planet Cracker class ship that destroys planets). However upon landing on the ship you find out something has gone terribly wrong. It seems that the ship has been infected and consumed by some hostile alien race.

One thing to note, this game will scare the crap out of you. Well it did me because I don’t really like the horror genre due to the impact it has on me emotionally. However I can handle games, unlike movies which I stay clear of as much as possible.

The Call of Duty franchise has always been known to provide a very intense and war-like first person shooter.  The peek of this franchise, in my opinion, is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Cod4 provided something more than its predecessors, Modern Warfare.  Finally after long last when WWII shooters were becoming stale infinity ward created a true winner in the fps genre.   The single player so intense and puts players in situations that no other games really put you in.  The same can be said for the multiplayer.  I mean me and my group of xbox live buddies have roughly put in about 100 plus hours into the game.  Not many games can do that as well as Cod4.  Well maybe Halo 3 and Gears of War but those, in my opinion, are very different game.  In order to top Cod 4 this the next call of duty game would have blow my socks off.

Sadly the next installment in the call of duty series, Call of Duty: World War, falls short.  Now don’t jump on me because  I’m poo pooing the game based on the multiplayer.  In fact the only thing in looking forward to is the single player.  I think this will be a rental.

It’s been quite a while since I have actually put up anything on this site. And the big shots over at NWW Network have been pestering me about putting up some content. Well here it is. My first review. Not necessarily a review but just giving some insight to the game I have been playing a ton of.

As many of you have heard the Little Big Planet beta has been going on for a couple of days and has just ended this past Saturday. I was lucky enough to get a code (from USA Today of all places) and have been playing the crap out of it.
